Peppers, a dominant force on the defensive line, was the second overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and spent a decade of his 17-year career with the Panthers. His impressive career includes three All-Pro selections, a place on the NFL's All-Decade Team for both the 2000s and 2010s, and the fourth-highest sack total in NFL history (159.5). Notably, he's the only player with at least 150 sacks and 10 interceptions.

Muhammad, a standout wide receiver, dedicated 11 of his 14 NFL seasons to the Panthers. He earned All-Pro recognition in 2004 and holds the second-place spot in franchise history for receptions (696), receiving yards (9,255), and receiving touchdowns (50), trailing only Steve Smith Sr. Muhammad also etched his name in Super Bowl history with an 85-yard touchdown reception in Super Bowl XXXVIII, the longest in Super Bowl history at the time.

Both players were also recognized for their off-field contributions as Walter Payton Man of the Year award winners for their respective teams. Panthers owner David Tepper emphasized their strong connection to the franchise, noting that both players were drafted by Carolina, achieved All-Pro status, returned to finish their careers with the team, and are now coming home permanently with this Hall of Honor induction.

Peppers and Muhammad join a prestigious group in the Panthers Hall of Honor, which includes former team president Mike McCormack, linebacker Sam Mills, the team's PSL owners, and Panthers legends Steve Smith Sr., Jake Delhomme, Jordan Gross, and Wesley Walls.
