A former Missouri bank executive has admitted guilt in a significant embezzlement scheme. Angela Flippin, 51, of Jamestown, pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to stealing at least $550,000 from the People's Bank of Moniteau County, where she served as vice president and chief operating officer. Federal investigators suspect the total amount embezzled could be closer to $650,000.

Flippin's illegal activities spanned from 2010 to January 30, 2017. An audit revealed that she improperly obtained over $550,000 through falsified compensatory time disbursements and over $8,000 in fraudulent expense reimbursements. While a sentencing date is yet to be determined, Flippin faces a potential prison sentence of up to 33 years.
