A 23-year-old Palestinian man carried out a combined vehicular and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, injuring nine people. The assailant, identified as Abed Khalila from As-Samu, near Hebron, drove onto a sidewalk, striking pedestrians before exiting his vehicle and stabbing bystanders with a knife. A civilian at the scene shot and killed Khalila.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, and among the injured, a 46-year-old woman sustained severe stab wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital. Tel Aviv Police District Commander Ami Eshed confirmed the attack and stated authorities were investigating whether the assailant acted alone.

Hamas praised the attack, referring to Khalila as a "martyr fighter" and claiming it as a direct response to recent Israeli military operations in the West Bank, specifically the Jenin refugee camp. Hamas spokesperson Hazem Kassem emphasized that Israel would "pay the price" for its actions.

The attack follows a large-scale Israeli operation in Jenin involving thousands of troops and drones targeting a mosque allegedly used as a militant base. The Israeli military reported finding explosives, weapons, and military equipment within the mosque. Palestinian officials reported eight deaths and 50 injuries during the operation.

Jenin has been a center of Palestinian militant activity, with Iranian-backed groups launching attacks within Israel.
