In a thrilling display of brotherly power, Bo and Josh Naylor of the Cleveland Guardians made Major League Baseball history on Friday night. During the third inning of their game against the Texas Rangers, the brothers achieved a feat never before seen in the MLB: they hit multi-run home runs in the same inning for the same team.

Bo Naylor ignited the fireworks with a towering 435-foot blast. Not to be outdone, his brother Josh followed suit with a two-run homer of his own, a line drive that curved just inside the right field foul pole. This incredible display gave the Guardians a temporary four-run advantage.

Bo Naylor spoke about the special moment, saying, "It’s something super special. It’s something that we’ve talked about, joked about in the past. Seeing it come to pass was pretty wild to think about. When I hit mine, we shared a great moment. I could see how excited he was for me. When he hit his, I was up on the top step waiting for him. Just a cool moment to share with him."

While the Naylor brothers' performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the game for Cleveland, the Rangers ultimately rallied for a 12-4 victory. The Guardians' offense stalled after the third inning, while the Rangers surged ahead with a decisive five-run seventh inning. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy praised his team's resilience, saying, "Great game. Great comeback. They really battled back. Big day by the heart of our order. Those guys all did such a great job."

The Naylors' accomplishment marked the first time brothers had hit multi-run homers in the same inning for the same team. The last time brothers homered in the same game for the same team was B.J. and Justin Upton for the Atlanta Braves in 2014.
