In Dothan, Alabama, a dramatic incident unfolded when a man, identified as Shawn Maxmillion McDaniel, allegedly pursued the mother of his children while brandishing a knife. The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was accompanied by an acquaintance as she drove through the city on July 12th. According to the Dothan Police Department, McDaniel had previously attempted to contact the woman, but she declined. This refusal seemingly prompted him to follow her vehicle.
The situation escalated when the woman and her companion stopped at a traffic light. McDaniel reportedly exited his own car armed with a large knife and confronted the pair. The acquaintance, who was legally carrying a firearm, instructed McDaniel to retreat. However, McDaniel allegedly ignored the warning and brandished the knife, leading the acquaintance to discharge their weapon, striking McDaniel in the face.
