Over the weekend, two separate shooting incidents unfolded, leaving several individuals injured. In El Paso, Texas, a house party erupted in gunfire overnight Friday, resulting in at least eight casualties, according to police reports. Meanwhile, a shooting incident at Glenbrook Square Mall in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Saturday afternoon left one person wounded. Following the incident, the mall was evacuated as shoppers fled in panic after hearing gunshots. Fort Wayne Fire Department confirmed that one individual received medical treatment. A witness recounted the chaotic scene to WANE-TV, describing the panicked rush of shoppers as gunshots echoed through the mall. The witness and her husband were aided by a police officer in evacuating the building. Law enforcement agencies, including the Fort Wayne Police Department, responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m. local time. The mall announced its closure for the remainder of Saturday via Facebook, with plans to reopen on Sunday. WANE reported that the victim's injuries were not life-threatening and that the suspect surrendered to authorities after the incident. Police stated the shooting was not random and stemmed from an altercation between the suspect and the victim.
