Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, now an MSNBC host, and Maryland Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin raised concerns about potential foreign influence in Representative James Comer's investigation into the Biden family's business dealings. During a recent MSNBC interview, Psaki questioned whether Comer, the Republican chair of the House Oversight Committee, was wittingly or unwittingly influenced by a foreign actor.

Raskin expressed worry about the integrity of the Oversight Committee, suggesting its credibility is being undermined by Comer's approach. He and fellow Democratic Representative Dan Goldman have formally requested information from Comer regarding Gal Luft, a whistleblower entangled in the Biden family saga and currently facing indictment.
Raskin criticized House Republicans for pursuing what he termed a "baseless pursuit" of the Bidens, arguing they are readily accepting any allegations against the family without proper scrutiny. He also pointed to the upcoming testimony of IRS whistleblowers, highlighting their claims of political interference in the Hunter Biden investigation by the Department of Justice.

These whistleblowers allege that officials within the DOJ, FBI, and IRS obstructed the Hunter Biden investigation, claiming decisions were politically motivated. They further assert that federal prosecutors hindered inquiries related to President Biden and that the lead U.S. attorney lacked full authority in the case.

Comer, however, maintains the investigation's legitimacy. He emphasized the committee's progress in examining the Biden family's financial activities, both domestically and internationally, to ascertain whether these dealings pose a national security risk or compromise President Biden's impartiality. Comer pointed to evidence of numerous shell companies, complex financial transactions with foreign entities, and efforts to conceal payments.
He further stated that the whistleblowers' accounts corroborate the committee's findings.
