The lawyer representing the woman accusing Conor McGregor of sexual assault has leveled serious accusations against multiple parties, claiming they mishandled the situation following the alleged incident in a bathroom on June 10th. Attorney Ariel Mitchell alleges her client was offered hush money and asserts that the NBA, Miami Heat, and Miami Police Department were involved in covering up the alleged assault.
The NBA has vehemently denied offering the alleged victim $100,000 to stay silent, calling the claim "categorically false." However, Mitchell maintains that both the Heat and the NBA could be held liable. She points to security personnel hired by the Heat, suggesting they prioritized protecting a celebrity over assisting a woman in distress. Furthermore, she claims the Miami Police Department attempted to dismiss her client's report of the assault.

Letters obtained by the New York Post, sent to the NBA, Miami Heat, and McGregor, allege that NBA and team security coerced the woman into the restroom. The Miami Heat has not yet responded to requests for comment.

Mitchell reveals her client is now in an undisclosed location outside of Florida, having received death threats. This incident follows McGregor's courtside appearance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals, where he punched the Miami Heat mascot during a supposedly staged skit, sending the individual inside the costume to the hospital. McGregor, currently recovering from a broken leg, is not expected to fight again until the fall.

Both the NBA and the Miami Heat released statements last week acknowledging the allegations and stating they are conducting thorough investigations. The Heat has stated they will refrain from further comment until the investigation concludes.
