The USS Harry S. Truman, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, experienced a collision with a large merchant ship on Wednesday evening near Port Said, Egypt, within the Mediterranean Sea. Fortunately, initial reports indicate no personnel injuries or flooding on the carrier.
A statement released by the US Navy confirmed that the carrier's nuclear reactors remain unaffected by the incident and are currently operating in a safe and stable manner.
