Country music icon Toby Keith is reportedly in good spirits and looking forward to returning to performing after a hiatus of over a year due to his ongoing battle with stomach cancer. Representatives for the 61-year-old artist shared the positive update, indicating that Keith is progressing well and anticipates resuming touring soon.

Keith himself recently expressed optimism about his health journey in an interview, stating that things are trending positively. While acknowledging the unpredictable nature of cancer, he emphasized his proactive approach to treatment and recovery. He's even considering organizing a few small-scale performances to assess his stamina and readiness for a full-fledged tour.

Keith initially revealed his stomach cancer diagnosis in June 2022, after privately undergoing treatment for six months. At the time, he shared that he was undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. He expressed his need to focus on recovery and spend time with family but assured fans he would return to the stage as soon as possible.
