Early Monday morning, a small airplane crashed in southeast Georgia, tragically claiming the lives of all three men on board. The Evans County Sheriff's Office reported the aircraft missing around 12:30 a.m. and initiated a search with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane was located near the Claxton-Evans County Airport, approximately 50 miles west of Savannah, around 5:30 a.m. Sadly, all three adult male occupants were found deceased. The National Transportation Safety Board identified the aircraft as a Piper PA-30. Further investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
