A 14-year-old student was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 6th, after allegedly bringing a firearm onto the grounds of Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. This incident occurred at the same school where a mass shooting claimed the lives of two students and two teachers just days earlier on September 4th.

School resource officers apprehended the student at approximately 2:02 p.m. without any resistance. Authorities reported that the student cooperated fully and did not threaten anyone with the weapon. The unnamed minor was subsequently transported to a youth detention center.
