While acknowledging the public interest surrounding his arrival in New York, Rodgers expressed his frustration during a practice round at the American Century Championship, stating that the decision felt imposed upon the team.

Rodgers admitted the Jets' appeal, given the attention he and the team are receiving, but maintained that the "Hard Knocks" selection was "forced down our throats." Despite his reservations, the four-time MVP expressed enthusiasm about one aspect of the show: meeting narrator Liev Schreiber.

This will be the Jets' second appearance on "Hard Knocks," having previously been featured in 2010 during their run to the AFC Championship. The NFL Network reported that the Jets were among four eligible teams, alongside the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Commanders. Head coach Robert Saleh previously stated his reluctance to participate, despite the heightened interest in the team following Rodgers' acquisition.
