On Friday morning, January 17th, a dramatic scene unfolded in the Bronx, New York City, when an MTA bus driver missed a turn, causing the vehicle to crash into a guardrail and partially hang off an overpass above the Henry Hudson Parkway and Kappock Street. Thankfully, no passengers were on board at the time of the incident, and the driver escaped unharmed.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) confirmed the events, stating the driver of the BXM1 bus, which operates between the Bronx and Manhattan, lost control around 8:40 a.m. Video footage vividly depicts the bus precariously perched on the overpass edge, with debris scattered on the road below.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene and skillfully employed a heavy-duty cable to secure the bus and prevent it from plunging to the street below.
