Authorities in Philadelphia are on the hunt for a suspect involved in an attempted robbery near an ATM in June. Surveillance footage released by the Philadelphia Police Department shows the suspect confronting and assaulting a 53-year-old man.
The incident unfolded as the victim walked away from a Wells Fargo Bank ATM on East Hunting Park Avenue. The suspect approached the victim and began the assault, initially slapping him and knocking him to the ground.

According to the police, the suspect demanded money. When the victim said he had none, the suspect slapped him again and brandished a firearm. A struggle ensued, during which the suspect kicked the victim before escaping into a waiting white Kia Optima sedan with an unknown driver. The vehicle then fled eastward.

The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that the incident was an attempted robbery and that the victim's belongings were not taken. The investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to contact the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243/3244.
