Prominent figures like actor James Woods and Fox News contributor Joey Jones expressed their admiration for Leavitt's performance on X (formerly Twitter). Talk show host Addison Smith highlighted Leavitt's apparent lack of reliance on prepared notes, comparing it to the previous press secretaries' frequent use of binders. Outkick founder Clay Travis and James Golden, a longtime associate of Rush Limbaugh, also joined the chorus of praise.

Fox News contributor Jimmy Failla pointed out Leavitt's ability to answer questions without consulting notes, while Cassie Smedile Docksey, Vice President of Coign, emphasized the refreshing directness of Leavitt's responses.

At 27, Leavitt becomes the youngest press secretary in U.S. history, surpassing Ron Ziegler, who held the position at age 29 during the Nixon administration. Leavitt's previous roles include assistant press secretary in the first Trump administration and communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik. She also ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022. Leavitt takes over from Karine Jean-Pierre, who served as press secretary during the Biden administration.
