Darnold, initially projected as a backup, has emerged as a frontrunner for Comeback Player of the Year.

With the game on the line, Darnold commanded an eight-play, 70-yard drive, culminating in a game-winning 5-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Jones with just 1:13 remaining. This clutch play capped off a 21-of-31 performance for 235 yards and two touchdowns, marking a significant milestone in Darnold's career. His other touchdown pass connected with Johnny Mundt.

Expressing his gratitude after the game, Darnold stated, "There's no other place I'd rather play; just so grateful to be a Viking."

Darnold's journey from backup quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers last season to leading the Vikings toward a potential playoff berth is a testament to his resilience. While Murray connected with Marvin Harrison Jr. for a touchdown, giving Arizona a 19-6 lead in the third quarter, Darnold responded with a touchdown pass to Mundt on the subsequent drive. Murray finished the game 31-of-45 for 260 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, the other picked off by Byron Murphy Jr.

Cardinals tight end Trey McBride was a standout performer, recording 12 catches for 96 yards. Harrison also contributed with five catches for 60 yards.

With this win, the Vikings improved to 10-2, while the Cardinals dropped to 6-6.
