Idaho Man Accused of Killing Four Neighbors After Alleged Indecent Exposure Incident

Created: JANUARY 21, 2025

A Kellogg, Idaho, resident, Majorjon Kaylor, 31, is facing four counts of first-degree murder and a burglary charge after allegedly shooting four neighbors, including a teenager and his grandparents, on Father's Day. Kaylor reportedly told authorities he "snapped" following an escalating dispute stemming from an alleged indecent exposure incident involving the teenage victim and Kaylor's family.

According to police reports, Kaylor shot Kenna Guardipee, 41, and her father, Kenneth Guardipee, 65, on their back porch. The victims were the mother and grandfather of 18-year-old Devin Smith, who allegedly exposed himself to Kaylor's wife and daughters through a window. Smith was also found deceased inside the home, along with a 16-year-old boy whose name has been withheld.

Court documents reveal Kaylor expressed concern over Smith's alleged behavior, referring to him as a "pedophile." Kaylor reportedly felt the Guardipees were not taking his concerns seriously. The affidavit states Kaylor admitted to losing control and "doing something about it."

The incident reportedly followed an earlier argument on June 13, sparked by the alleged indecent exposure. On Father's Day, another argument erupted, during which Kaylie Kaylor, Majorjon's wife, allegedly expressed worry that Smith would not face consequences. Court documents also indicate the couple discussed their course of action and even shared an image of Gary Plauche, who fatally shot the man accused of kidnapping and molesting his son in 1984.

Kaylor is currently held without bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on July 3. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
