President Biden recently commended the courage of attendees at a White House LGBT+ pride event, drawing a comparison to his earlier address at the Air Force Academy. At the pride event, he stated, "I see more courage in this lawn than I've seen in any time in the recent past."

This declaration comes less than two weeks after his visit to the Air Force Academy, where he highlighted the importance of diversity, stating, "Your class is one of the most diverse classes in the history of this academy or any academy to graduate. That's why we're strong. That's why we're who we are. That's why we'll never give up." His visit to the academy was also notable for his fall on stage.

During the pride event, the White House displayed a pride flag alongside two American flags. Biden's speech underscored his support for LGBT+ youth, particularly transgender children. He emphasized the importance of unity, saying, "We all move forward when we move together with your joy, with your pride lighting the way."

The White House also recently announced federal initiatives to support the LGBT+ community, including programs for LGBT+ youth and a Department of Education project aimed at countering efforts to remove certain books from public schools. No comment was provided by the White House when contacted.
