Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has reached a new milestone, becoming the first player to earn a 99 overall rating in Madden NFL 24. This achievement surpasses even Vikings legend Randy Moss, whose highest Madden rating was a 98. Jefferson's 99 rating marks him as the highest-rated Vikings player in the game's history.

Jefferson expressed his excitement on social media, reflecting on his childhood dreams of having a 99-rated player. Entering his fourth NFL season, Jefferson is coming off a remarkable 2022 performance where he led the league with 128 receptions and 1,809 receiving yards. His eight touchdowns, impressive average of 106.4 yards per game, and nearly 14 scrimmage yards per touch contributed to his recognition as the AP Offensive Player of the Year.

Drafted 22nd overall in 2020, Jefferson has consistently made the Pro Bowl in each of his professional seasons. His exceptional 2022 season also earned him his first First-Team All-Pro selection and even put him in contention for the AP MVP award.

Under head coach Kevin O'Connell, the Vikings achieved a 13-4 record in the 2022 season, ultimately ending with a playoff loss to the New York Giants.
