The USS Harry S. Truman, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, was involved in a collision with a merchant vessel on Wednesday night near Port Said, Egypt, in the Mediterranean Sea. The US Navy confirmed the incident, stating that no injuries or flooding were reported aboard the carrier.

According to a Navy statement, the carrier's nuclear propulsion system remains unaffected and is operating safely and stably. Further details regarding the extent of damage to both vessels are yet to be released.
