The 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is coming to Arlington, Texas, marking the return of the midsummer classic to the Lone Star State. The last time Texas hosted the game was in 2004 in Houston, and the event has significantly expanded since the Rangers last hosted in 1995.

The logo for the July 16 game, unveiled Thursday, features the outline of Texas with the state's iconic star incorporated into the “All-Star” wordmark. This game will be held at Globe Life Field, a state-of-the-art retractable-roof stadium, a significant upgrade from the open-air venue used in 1995.

Rangers' long-time public address announcer, Chuck Morgan, highlighted the growth of the All-Star Game into a week-long celebration of baseball. The event promises a much-enhanced experience compared to the 1995 game.

Globe Life Field, which opened in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, has already proven its capability as a host venue, having held the 2020 World Series, along with the NL Division and Championship Series. While the initial season at the new stadium was played without fans due to the pandemic, the 2024 All-Star Game will be a full-fledged event.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred praised Globe Life Field as an exceptional facility and expressed the league's appreciation for Rangers owner Ray Davis and the city of Arlington for stepping up to host the neutral-site postseason in 2020 during challenging circumstances.
