PublicSq. Offers "Baby Bonus" to Employees, Contrasting Corporate Abortion Benefits

Created: JANUARY 21, 2025

In a move that challenges the corporate trend of offering abortion benefits, PublicSq., a platform connecting patriotic businesses with consumers, has introduced a "baby bonus" for its employees. CEO and founder Michael Seifert explained the company's decision on 'Fox & Friends Weekend,' emphasizing their pro-family stance.

Seifert expressed concern about what he perceives as an anti-family direction in society, stating that a company's strength is rooted in the well-being of its employees' families. PublicSq., which boasts being the nation's largest marketplace for pro-family businesses, aims to reinforce its values by offering a $5,000 after-tax bonus to employees who have or adopt a child.

This policy directly contrasts with companies like Amazon, Airbnb, Target, and Patagonia, which provide abortion benefits to their employees. Seifert highlighted this difference, framing the bonus as a "thank you" to employees and a means to support their families.

Individuals rallying for abortion rights

Following the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade, numerous companies, including Amazon, Bumble, Uber, Lyft, and Starbucks, instituted abortion benefits. While these companies often frame these benefits as empowering women, Seifert contends that they are primarily motivated by avoiding maternity leave costs.

Discussion on woke companies and abortion reimbursement

He argued that these corporations prioritize financial considerations over supporting families, a trend he finds detrimental. Seifert believes that strong families contribute to a strong nation and hopes more companies will adopt a similar perspective.

The new policy at PublicSq. has already seen positive results, with three pregnancies announced within the last month. Seifert sees this as a sign that employees are enthusiastic about the initiative.
