Newly released bodycam footage reveals the dramatic rescue of a man who nearly fell from a bridge in Oklahoma City. The incident unfolded on November 10th around 9 a.m. on a bridge connecting Stockyards City Main Street to Oklahoma City, spanning the Oklahoma River.

The video shows Officer Reyes approaching a man lying on the bridge's concrete guardrail. Clad in a red hoodie and jeans, the man stirs before unexpectedly rolling off the edge. Officer Reyes reacted instantly, seizing the man's hoodie as he tumbled over the side. A passing jogger quickly joined the effort, assisting Officer Reyes in holding the man, who dangled precariously above the water.

With combined efforts, the officer and the jogger hauled the man back over the guardrail to safety. Medics examined the man, confirming he was unharmed. According to Oklahoma City Police Msgt. Gary Knight, the guardrail is approximately one foot wide, with a 30- to 40-foot drop to the water below.

The man explained to police that he had been resting on the guardrail and fell asleep due to the pleasant weather. He assured them he had no intention of self-harm. Officer Reyes subsequently provided him with a ride back to his family. Police confirmed the man is not homeless. Msgt. Knight commended both Officer Reyes and the Good Samaritan, highlighting their heroic actions in saving the man's life.
