A homeless man residing in a Waukesha County, Wisconsin encampment was recently arrested and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment after allegedly threatening a woman with an ax over a $40 bike repair bill. 51-year-old Kevin Brue is accused of wielding the weapon and threatening the woman's life near the encampment located close to St. Paul and Prairie Avenue, adjacent to railroad tracks and the Environmental Education Center.

According to reports, the victim stated that Brue aggressively approached her, brandishing the ax and shouting death threats. She claims he swung the ax twice, narrowly missing her leg. The victim managed to escape and quickly alerted authorities. Another resident of the encampment, identified only as "Jim," commented on the incident, suggesting that substance abuse might have played a role in Brue's actions. Police confirmed that the encampment is known to them and serves as a temporary shelter for some individuals during warmer months.
