Following her involvement in the college admissions scandal, Lori Loughlin is back in the spotlight, starring as Lieutenant Bishop in the upcoming Prime Video series "On Call." This role, she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, has given her a newfound respect for law enforcement. The part required extensive preparation, including ride-alongs with actual police officers, and a physical makeover that Loughlin embraced enthusiastically. She described the transformation as "very raw," involving no makeup, dark hair, and a uniform, a look she was "so excited" to adopt.

This is Loughlin's first major acting project since the 2019 scandal. In an April interview with First For Women, she discussed themes of forgiveness and moving forward, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and letting go of negativity. While not directly addressing the scandal, she spoke about the importance of both giving and receiving forgiveness, noting that everyone makes mistakes. She reflected on her upbringing, which emphasized letting go of grudges and moving past errors.

Loughlin's return to acting follows her 2020 guilty plea and subsequent two-month prison sentence, community service, and fine related to the college admissions case. She and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged with making payments to secure their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California.
