Watt's enthusiasm for his new role is evident in his Twitter announcement. He expressed his deep love for the game and his excitement to join the CBS Sports team, contributing insights gained from his 12-year NFL career alongside broadcasting veterans like James Brown, Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms, and Nate Burleson.

Drafted by the Texans in 2011, Watt spent a decade in Houston before concluding his playing career with the Arizona Cardinals. His impressive record includes 114.5 sacks and three Defensive Player of the Year awards, as well as the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year honor in 2017.
