Ann Kerr was among thousands of residents displaced by three separate wildfires that erupted across Los Angeles. The first fire ignited near a nature preserve northeast of the city, the second in the Pacific Palisades, and a third broke out late Tuesday night in the San Fernando Valley. Strong winds, with gusts exceeding 60 mph and reaching up to 70 mph by Wednesday morning, significantly exacerbated the fires. Authorities had issued warnings about the high winds on Monday, anticipating the potential for rapid fire spread.
