Reports suggest the incident stemmed from a possible peanut allergy. Yankees spokesperson Jason Zillo confirmed Reyzelman's overnight stay for observation, adding that the exact cause of the reaction remained uncertain.

Reyzelman earned an invitation to spring training following a strong performance in the minors last year. Across three levels, he boasted a 1.16 ERA over 38.2 innings, showcasing a fastball that reaches 99 mph. He struck out 26 batters in just 15.1 innings between the Florida Complex League Yankees and the High-A Hudson Valley Renegades. His success continued in Double-A with the Somerset Patriots, where he recorded 37 strikeouts in 23.1 innings while allowing only five earned runs.

Despite his impressive minor league stats, Reyzelman faces a tough road to the Yankees' opening day roster. The team has bolstered its bullpen with the acquisition of two-time All-Star closer Devin Williams and playoff standout Luke Weaver, alongside other established relievers like Ian Hamilton, Tim Hill, Mark Leiter Jr., Jonathan Loáisiga, and Fernando Cruz. The Yankees open their season at home against the Brewers on March 27th.
