MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell has questioned the accessibility of the location where cocaine was recently discovered in the White House. The illicit substance was found near the Situation Room, an area with restricted access, raising concerns about how it got there. Mitchell highlighted that "average people" don't typically have access to this highly secure zone. NBC News correspondent Kelly O'Donnell added that the nearby Northwest Gate, one of the West Wing entrances, is primarily used by authorized personnel and those on private tours accompanied by White House staff. O'Donnell emphasized the unusual nature of the discovery, stating that officials claim there's no prior record of such a substance being found in the West Wing or elsewhere in the White House. The incident occurred while President Biden and his son Hunter were at Camp David. An anonymous law enforcement source told Politico that the case might remain unsolved. The discovery has sparked significant discussion and speculation, particularly given the proximity of the cocaine to the Situation Room.
