A private jet owned by Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was involved in a runway accident at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, colliding with a parked aircraft. Video footage captures the Learjet 35A, after experiencing landing gear failure, skidding off the runway and impacting a Gulfstream 200. The force of the collision caused the larger jet to lift and shift forward.
Emergency responders reported one fatality and four injuries. Neil was not on board the Learjet. The injured included two pilots and two passengers, among them Neil's girlfriend, Rain Hannah, who sustained five broken ribs, and her friend. Animals accompanying the passengers survived the incident. The occupant of the parked Gulfstream declined medical attention.
A statement released by Mötley Crüe expressed Neil's condolences and gratitude to first responders. One individual was initially trapped in the Learjet and later transported to a trauma center in critical condition. The Learjet's cockpit sustained significant damage. Debris, including a set of wheels, was scattered across the scene.
An eyewitness recounted observing the landing gear collapse before the jet veered off course. The aircraft, arriving from Austin, Texas, is registered to a Wyoming-based company linked to Neil. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident. Scottsdale Airport briefly closed after the crash but later reopened.
