In a move celebrated by advocates for fairness in women's sports, former President Donald Trump signed an executive order designed to prevent biological males from competing in female athletic events. This action coincided with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, underscoring its significance.

Several prominent figures supporting women's sports, including Independent Women's Forum ambassadors Riley Gaines, Payton McNabb, Paula Scanlan, and others, attended the White House signing ceremony.

Gaines also called for the Senate to advance Senator Tuberville's Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This issue played a key role in Trump's presidential campaign platform, further highlighting its political importance.

The executive order follows a federal judge's decision to block the Biden administration's attempt to redefine sex under Title IX as "gender identity." Trump's administration subsequently affirmed that Title IX protections would be based on biological sex.
