A pilot escaped injury Tuesday morning after a small plane crashed near Hampton Airfield in North Hampton, New Hampshire. First responders from Hampton Fire/Rescue arrived at the scene off Reddington Landing, about eight miles south of Portsmouth. The aircraft was unoccupied aside from the pilot, and no one on the ground was hurt.
Images shared by the fire department on Facebook depicted the wreckage of the small plane amidst trees bordering the runway.

Hampton Fire Chief McMahon confirmed to Fox News Digital that the pilot was evaluated by emergency medical services and found to be unharmed.
"New Hampshire State Police and the FAA have been notified. The situation is under control," Hampton Fire/Rescue stated in a Facebook post.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation's Bureau of Aeronautics will be investigating the cause of the crash, according to Chief McMahon.

Hampton Airfield, in a statement to Fox News Digital, expressed gratitude that no injuries occurred but declined to provide further details about the ongoing investigation.
