President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has released a video showcasing endorsements from several Republican senators for Pete Hegseth, Trump's nominee to head the Department of Defense (DOD) in 2025. The video features senators praising Hegseth's qualifications and capabilities.
Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) described Hegseth as "an ideal choice" for the position, while Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) expressed confidence that Hegseth would excel in the role. Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) affirmed his commitment to supporting Hegseth's confirmation.

These endorsements come as Hegseth faces scrutiny over allegations of sexual assault, alcohol-related issues, and potential financial mismanagement at a veterans' nonprofit. Hegseth has reportedly denied these allegations.

Hegseth recently had a second meeting with Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), who remains unconvinced about supporting his nomination. Following their meeting, Ernst expressed her hope for a fair hearing based on factual information.
