A recent Gallup poll reveals significant disparities in public opinion regarding living former U.S. presidents. Barack Obama secured the highest favorability rating, while Joe Biden received the lowest, with the highest unfavorability. Obama garnered a 59% favorability rating compared to a 36% unfavorability rating. Conversely, Biden's favorability stood at just 39%, with a significant 57% viewing him unfavorably. The poll was conducted shortly after Biden concluded his term in the White House, from January 21st to 27th, 2025.

Both Donald Trump and Bill Clinton registered a 48% favorability rating. However, Trump faced a 50% unfavorability rating, while Clinton's was lower at 41%. George W. Bush received a favorable rating from 52% of respondents, with 34% expressing an unfavorable view.


The poll, conducted by Gallup, involved telephone interviews with 1,001 adults across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The margin of error is ±4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
