McNabb specifically called out White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, accusing her of manipulating the narrative and portraying transgender individuals as victims.

McNabb's advocacy began after she sustained a concussion and neck injury during a September volleyball match when a transgender opponent's spike struck her face. This incident propelled her to address lawmakers and publicly advocate for regulations against biological males competing in women's sports, emphasizing the safety concerns involved.

During a recent press briefing, Jean-Pierre responded to parental concerns about the safety of female athletes competing against biological males by characterizing such concerns as "dangerous." McNabb countered this statement, labeling it hypocritical and typical of the administration's response. She argued that Jean-Pierre twisted the narrative to present transgender individuals as the aggrieved party.

McNabb detailed the traumatic nature of her injury and the challenging recovery process. She revealed that her team was aware of the opposing team's transgender player but felt compelled to play the conference game. McNabb also expressed concern for her younger teammates, who were visibly apprehensive about competing against a transgender athlete. She described their fear as "heartbreaking."

The North Carolina legislature is currently considering a bill that would prohibit transgender girls from participating in girls' sports. While the bill awaits a final Senate committee vote before proceeding to the floor, Governor Roy Cooper is anticipated to oppose it.

McNabb underscored the importance of this legislation to safeguard female athletes from similar experiences.
