Following a chaotic ending to his exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather Jr., John Gotti III has been handed a six-month suspension by the Florida State Athletic Commission. The incident occurred Sunday night after the conclusion of their fight.

The commission clarified that Mayweather himself was not subject to any disciplinary action related to the post-fight disturbance. The suspension against Gotti was enacted immediately following the match.
Referee Kenny Bayless stopped the bout in the sixth round, but Gotti seemingly disregarded the stoppage and pursued Mayweather, triggering a surge of individuals from both corners into the ring.

Following the melee, Gotti took to social media, referring to Mayweather with derogatory terms and declaring him a lifelong adversary.
