Deadly Landslides Devastate Sichuan Province in China

Tragedy struck China's southwestern Sichuan province on Tuesday as landslides, triggered by torrential downpours and flash floods, claimed the lives of four people and left three others missing. The disaster unfolded in Miansi and Weizhou townships within Wenchuan county, prompting a large-scale evacuation of over 900 residents.

Over 400 rescue personnel were deployed to the affected areas in a desperate search for survivors. Sadly, four individuals, including a couple from Miansi township, were recovered deceased. Three others remain unaccounted for, and search efforts continue.
