She also noted the impact of Coulier's family history with cancer, having lost his mother, sister, and niece to the disease, and with another sister being a survivor. She believes he draws strength from their experiences, striving to honor their memory through his own fight.

Coulier, known for his role as Joey Gladstone on "Full House," revealed his stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis in November. He described the initial shock of the diagnosis, going from a minor ailment to a cancer diagnosis in a short span of time. He shared his experience on the "Today" show, expressing the surreal feeling of facing a disease he had only ever heard about happening to others.

He also spoke about his surprisingly calm acceptance of the situation, crediting his fulfilling life and the strong support system he has. While maintaining a sense of humor, he acknowledged the emotional impact of the diagnosis. Coulier continues to undergo chemotherapy.

According to the American Cancer Society, B-cell lymphoma, the type Coulier has, is the most common form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Over 80,000 Americans receive this diagnosis annually.
