Tech titan Elon Musk has enlisted the help of UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre as he prepares for a potential cage match against Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The news broke Monday evening on Twitter when Musk responded affirmatively to St-Pierre's offer to train him.
St-Pierre, considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, expressed his admiration for Musk and called it an "absolute honor" to assist him in preparing for the much-anticipated showdown with Zuckerberg. The former two-division UFC champion boasts an impressive record (26-2-0) and last fought in 2017, coming out of retirement to defeat then-Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping before vacating the title.

While St-Pierre remains retired from professional fighting, he actively maintains his training regimen, frequently sharing workout videos online. Musk, despite admitting to not having a regular workout routine, recently tweeted about his background in judo, Kyokushin (full contact), and street fighting.
The potential clash between the two tech giants originated from online banter on Twitter, quickly escalating into a cage match challenge issued by Musk and accepted by Zuckerberg. UFC President Dana White confirmed the seriousness of their intentions, predicting the event could become the biggest fight in history, surpassing even the Mayweather-McGregor spectacle. White envisions the fight breaking pay-per-view records and raising hundreds of millions of dollars for charity.

The catalyst for this potential clash was a report about Meta developing a Twitter competitor, prompting a dismissive response from Musk. Zuckerberg's Instagram story with the message "Send Me Location" served as his acceptance of the challenge. Musk proposed Las Vegas and the UFC Octagon as the venue.

St-Pierre, known for his dominance in the welterweight division with numerous submission and TKO victories, boasts an impressive list of defeated opponents, including Johny Hendricks, Nick Diaz, and Carlos Condit. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2020.
